In times of crisis—whether caused by natural disasters, economic hardship, or unexpected emergencies—access to basic food becomes one of the most urgent needs for vulnerable communities. At Korobi Foundation, we believe that no one should go hungry during such difficult moments. One of our key humanitarian initiatives focuses on the distribution of 25 kg sacks of rice among disadvantaged families to ensure immediate food security.
Why Rice Distribution Matters
Rice is a staple food in Bangladesh and serves as the primary source of daily nutrition for most households. During emergencies, families often lose their income sources and struggle to afford even basic meals. By providing a 25 kg sack of rice, we aim to support a family’s food needs for several weeks, reducing their immediate stress and allowing them to focus on rebuilding their lives.
Identifying the Beneficiaries
Korobi Foundation carefully selects beneficiaries based on urgency and need. Priority is given to:
- Low-income families
- Daily wage earners affected by sudden income loss
- Elderly individuals with no financial support
- Widows and single-parent households
- People affected by floods, storms, or other disasters
Our team works closely with local volunteers and community leaders to ensure that aid reaches the most deserving individuals without delay.
